'Compliment Expert' Chairman Kim Chong-sun
Trump's Re-election Wish, Nobel Prize Prediction Attracting Attention
Kim Chong-sun, "global praise activist" chairman of Na Sil-ryeon (WFSR Praise Campaign Headquarters), has been making headlines for developing "private diplomacy alone" in the U.S. for three months, including selecting U.S. President Trump, who will take office next month, as a "Creative Hero."
Chairman Kim Chong-sun left for the U.S. on October 25. Chairman Kim, who made a decisive contribution to Punglim Pharmatech's winning a $50 million export contract, the most in medical device items, at the 22nd World Korean Business Conference held in Jeonju, originally planned to discuss the establishment of the Praise New Civilization Center promoted by Nasilyeon with leading Korean entrepreneurs in New York and Atlanta on a 10-day schedule.
This is why Jang Yong-jin, chairman of the KISS Group, the world's largest beauty supply company with 1.5 trillion won in sales, and Lee Kyung-chul, chairman of Weil Enterprises, head of the Korean Chamber of Commerce in the United States.
Chairman Kim's surprise postponement of his return to the U.S. and staying in the U.S. for more than two months was crucial for Trump's election on November 5. At that time, Trump's landslide victory was regarded as a "surprise victory" in Korea, but it is true that most experts familiar with the U.S. predicted Trump's victory. Kim Chong-sun did not see the failure of the Korean media and the Korean government to prepare for the Trump administration.
In an interview with "Global Webzine" Newsroh, Kim Chong-sun said, "In Japan, former Prime Minister Taro Aso visited New York in January and pushed for a meeting with Trump in person, and in March, they have actively deployed people with ties to the Trump camp, including hiring a lobbyist company represented by a close aide of former President Trump," adding, "Although it is a step later than Japan, I think it can also operate in the national interest at the private level."
In a way, it was a reckless decision as if he was heading to the ground, but Kim, had something to believe in. He has a special relationship with the Trump family(因緣). He expanded the praise campaign that he had been promoting in Korea for more than 20 years to the U.S. dating back to 2015.
He created a fresh topic by launching a "praise campaign" between New York, Washington, and Atlanta for three months at the time. Starting with President Obama, world-class leaders, politicians, and entrepreneurs, including U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Berkshire Hathaway Chairman Warren Buffett, were selected as praise heroes. Thanks to these activities, Charles Rangel, a big-name politician with the highest number of 23 terms in federal parliament, and James Rotundo, a New Jersey Palisades Park mayor, also received merit plaques from the mayor in 2016.
When Trump won the 2016 U.S. presidential election as the first outsider politician, he said, "Trump didn't make a pledge to look good to others and ran a clean campaign without getting any help from corrupt Wall Street leaders. His winning process deserves praise."
Kim also made a special prediction in November of that year. "President Trump will someday win the Nobel Prize as one of the world's greatest leaders." It seemed as if Trump had foreseen that he would hold a historic U.S.-North Korea summit, including three meetings with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, and bring a solution to peace on the Korean Peninsula.
In January 2017, a new topic of conversation continued. Trump's eldest daughter, Ivanka, sent a thank-you message to Kim Chong-sun on social media. "I was surprised to receive a thank-you message in less than a day after posting a Korean and English compliment hero certificate produced by Na Sil-ryeon on her Facebook page as an officially registered account. I was able to confirm President Trump's positive response to our proposed Praise Hero Relay," Kim said.
In the fall of 2020, Chairman Kim Jong-sun held another "special exhibition to pray for Trump's re-election" in Jeonju, drawing attention. On the outer wall of the building, a large banner with President Trump's English slogan and the Korean title of "Dreaming of a Strong America" was hung, and various posters were displayed inside the exhibition hall, including a photo of President Trump alongside Chairman Kim Jong-un and four major leaders, including Moon Jae In President Xi Jinping and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
He is not the only one. He continued to show interest in Trump by releasing brilliant ideas including a scarf to praise Ivanka and a makgeolli, a creation hero of Trump.
During his stay in the U.S., Kim Jong-sun has been making every effort to mobilize all possible connections to contact politicians and journalists who directly and indirectly communicate with President-elect Trump. New York Rep. Kenneth Baik, former president of the New York Korean Police Association, also gave his support.
Not only American politicians and businessmen, but also the media industry were the main targets. He visited Fox TV, which has close ties with Trump, including the New York Times and CNN, and continued to send related materials and launched an online praise campaign to highlight the representatives and leading anchors of each media.
His traveling around Manhattan with a certificate of a Trump hero was enough to catch the attention of New Yorkers. On Christmas Eve, he visited the Trump Tower with two certificates of "Trump Creative Hero." When he appeared, many citizens approached him and took commemorative photos, drawing keen attention from him.
Kim Jong-sun's activities, although personal, are positive in that South Korea's external credibility and international diplomatic security are being dealt a blow due to the enormous situation in which the president is impeached (彈劾訴追) due to the declaration of emergency martial law in South Korea earlier this month.
Members of the "Compliment Community" also gave support to Kim Chong-sun's tearful efforts. The social media compliment room, where some 900 people gathered, impressed Kim by voluntarily raising funds to help him who is staying in Manhattan, the most expensive city in the world.
Kim Chong-sun said, "There is a Trump boom in the U.S. market right now, selling chocolates with Trump's face. If President Trump, who strives for world peace by professing to end the war in Ukraine, promotes peace on the Korean Peninsula and the world through a campaign of praise after his inauguration, the Nobel Peace Prize will be the party's prize."
Kim said, "K Culture, which is sweeping the world, is rising to the peak (頂點). Our people should lead the world by creating a newspaper name for the creation of world cultural convergence. I hope that a global leader will be born who will quickly achieve political stability and succeed in the grand integration of digital humanity in the younger generation."
